If you are interested in applying, for the new season, you are required to complete a

“2017 CSPL New Team Information” Form.

2017 CSPL New Team Registration print out, complete the form and mail or email completed form using the Contact Form.

The “New Team Information Form” includes:
— Team representative contact information (name, address, phone (home/work/fax/etc);
— Nights/times that you ARE prepared to play; Nights/times that ARE NOT prepared to play;
— Team rating information for the division that best suits your team, (team rating will be discussed individually with new teams)

The “New Team Information Form” must be forwarded with a deposit of $300.00 (cheque payable to CSPL)

1. How much does it cost. APPOX TBA FOR(2017)
Mens Divisions: New Team $2,450.00 (includes a $200.00 default bond); — Returning Team: $2,250.00
Coed Divisions: New Team $1,945.00 (includes a $100.00 default bond); — Returning Team $1,845.00
Womens Division: New Team $2,075.00 (includes a $100.00 default bond); — Returning Team $1,975.00 (FINAL COST TBA)
2. When does it have to be payed?
Payments are staggered over the three league meetings — February, March & April;
3. What do the costs include?
Mens Divisions: $2,450.00 includes: $ 200.00 default bond ($100.00/game – held in trust);
SPN registration and insurance; $ 300.00 for one pre-paid CSPL tournament entry fee – June; or July.  The balance goes toward umpire fees, diamond permits, awards and administration costs.
Coed Divisions: $1945.00 includes: $ 100.00 default bond ($50.00/game – held in trust);
SPN registration and insurance;
Womens Divisions: $2,075.00 includes: $100.00 default bond ($50.00/game in trust);
$ 300.00.00 for one pre-paid CSPL tournament entry fee – June; July .

 First CSPL League meeting is scheduled for THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 2017, at 7:30 pm; Location: DIAMOND BEACH – Payment Due: Mens Teams: $1,000.00 ($1,000.00, if new Team for 2016); Coed Teams: $1,000.00 ($1,000.00, if new team for 2016);
Second League meeting is REVISED TO THURSDAY APRIL 20, , 2017, 7:30 pm; Location DIAMOND BEACHmap — All payments due; receive 2016 season schedule;
6. How many games do we get?
Mens & Womens Divisions: 32 Regular season games, plus playoffs for qualifying teams;
– 16 nights, double-header each night; either 6:10 pm or 8:30 pm first game start;
Mens Masters play only on Wednesday or Thursday night;

Coed Divisions: 26 Regular season games, plus playoffs for qualifying teams.
All games are double-headers, two games back-to-back vs the same team.
7. Where are the parks located?
CSPL uses diamonds throughout the West Toronto area. and Mississauga

8. What nights do we play?
Mens DIVISIONS play ALL their games on Tuesday nights,Wednesday nights, Thurday nights only.. Mens Masters play Wednesday and Thursdays. WOMENS DIVISION play Wednesdays only See the chart below for “TENTATIVE”divisions, nights and parks;
Coed Divisions play one night a week, Mondays  ; see the chart below for tentative divisions, nights and parks;
No games are scheduled Mondays and Fridays of long-weekends (May/July/August/September).

9. When does the season start?
Mens,Womens, Coed and MastersDivisions start the first week of May;
10. What about umpires?
Mens Divisions: Two (2) SPN carded umpires are provided for every scheduled game.
Coed Divisions: One (1) SPN carded umpire is provided for every scheduled game.

11. How many teams make the playoffs?
Mens: Top 4 teams make the play-offs (4, 6 or 8 teams per division) in a best 2 of 3 or best 2 of 3 (Semi/Finals)
Coed: Top 4 teams make the play-offs (4, 6 or 8 teams per division) in a best 2 of 3 (Semi/Finals)
Womens Top 4 teams make the playoffs(4,6 or 8 teams per divisions) in a best 2 of 3
12. What about awards?
Mens & Womens Divisions: Individual/Team Awards for: Division Play-off Champion (Individual Awards); Division Play-off Finalist (Individual Awards);
Coed Divisions: Individual/Team Awards for: Division Play-off Champion (Individual Award); Division Play-off Finalist (Individual Awards);
13. What do we need to supply?
Teams are required to supply the following (at your cost): Uniform (matching shirts); ONE (1) new ball for each HOME game: (Worth Yellow HOT Dot); Bases including a Double Base at first base;
14. What rules apply?
C.S.P.L. is affiliated with Slo-Pitch National Softball Inc. (SPN) and League rules are based on SPN rules.

Unfortunately, CSPL does not have a formal player registration program.
The league simply records this information and forwards to Team representatives for all teams in the league when requested. The league does not get involved in player registrations.
 
If you are interested in applying, for the new season,
as a new player, you must put your name on the list “Players Looking For A Team”
You may submit this by e-mail, telephone or fax.
Please include: name, age, sex, telephone, e-mail, division requested and preferred position.
